Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which a patient experiences excessive sweating in the underarm area. The muscle relaxing properties of botulism toxin when injected into these areas causes a decrease in sweating by temporarily blocking the nerve endings and thus decreasing the transmission to the sweat glands.
